You're going to be weighing up lots of things before making your decision about where to go to university. But the standard of teaching is bound to be high on your list. Knowledgeable, qualified teachers can inspire you to be the best that you can be and support you to achieve great things.
Everyone at Huddersfield puts the experience of our students at the heart of their work.
Professor Tim Thornton, Deputy Vice-Chancellor

We've been the UK’s leading university for the receipt of National Teaching Fellowships, to mark Britain’s best teachers, for the past ten years!
And we're the UK’s only university where 100% of permanent teaching staff are Fellows of the Higher Education Academy*. So you'll learn from some of the best, helping you be the best.
* permanent staff, after probation: some recently appointed colleagues will only obtain recognition in the months after their arrival in Huddersfield, once they have started teaching.
If I can inspire students to want to study, research and grow – instil in them a thirst for knowledge and practical experience – I feel this is the best path to effective learning, and in turn greater student achievement.
Dr Mark Mynett, Senior Lecturer in Music Technology and Production, winner of the University's Inspirational Teacher award 2016
I'd looked around some other universities but the staff here made a really good impression on me, they were so engaging and approachable.
Alec Tomlinson, Food and Nutrition BSc(Hons)
My lecturers make the subject what it is. They are really approachable and genuinely want you to do your best.

Come and visit us at one of our University Open Days guide.
Although you'll find lots of information about the University of Huddersfield on our website, there is nothing quite like a visit to the campus to get a feel for what studying with us is really like. It's a great chance to look at the facilities, talk to staff and current students from the course you are interested in and find out about those key things that matter to you.
Our Undergraduate Open Days run between June and December and we also run a Postgraduate Study Fair for those interested in postgraduate study.
